Veteran Resources
Check out these incredible organizations that we are proud to work with
The American Legion is the nation’s largest veterans service organization, advocating for veterans, service members, and military families while fighting to end veteran suicide. Built on four foundational pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. These pillars guide the organization’s advocacy, outreach, and service across thousands of local posts and millions of members nationwide.
Do Good Multnomah journeys side-by-side with veterans and other underserved communities so that all individuals are seen, supported, and valued while navigating shelter and housing. Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is subsidized housing where residents have a lease and access to voluntary, on-site case management, peer support services, and community activities
PA Soldier's and Sailor's Home
The Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home (PSSH) in Erie is the oldest of the six veterans homes, having served as an important historic marker throughout Erie County since it opened in 1886. They provide residents with the care and support they need in order to live an active and healthy life with as much independence as possible.
Veteran's Multi-Service Center
The Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) was founded in 1980 by local Vietnam Veterans, who built a memorial along the Philadelphia waterfront and discovered a sense of community unparalleled. They work to provide services, programs, opportunity and advancement to veterans of the U.S. military and their families.
American Legion- Cherokee County
Jim Lindenmayer is the Director of the Cherokee County Homeless Veteran Program and the program works closely with the American Legion. The program’s focus is helping homeless Veterans in Cherokee County with food, temporary housing, clothing, VA disability claims, home of record, vehicle donations, mental health programs and other vital support. The program works with individuals and organizations at all levels to help end Veteran homelessness, and AFNET is proud to assist by providing phones and phone service to these veterans.

Soldier's Angels
Outside of our every day work, we love to assist with other missions that are also serving the veteran community. Soldier's Angels is a 501C3 nonprofit, with a global network of volunteers who work to ensure that those who serve or have served are supported, uplifted, and remembered through a variety of support programs. This is their monthly food drive in Atlanta, GA that provides food to over 250 veteran families.
